---------------

Phew! That seems like a lot. At least it seems like a lot based on what you have to give.

But what do you get in return?

Fellowship with the Creator of the Universe.

That may be a little too abstract of a concept right now so let’s take a brief turn from this to something a little more tangible.

Think for a moment about a huge campaign fundraising dinner for that superstar politician. This is an opportunity that allows you to sit in a room with said politician as they are making their way into a position of incredible power. Breathing the same air as them and listening to words of perceived wisdom drip from their lips as they mesmerize you with their rhetoric. Can you imagine! This person is great in the land and they may even remember you someday. And if not, well, you can go home and tell all of the people within your circle where you were and how exclusive it was to be there.

Access to these people is very exclusive and only happens every few years at best.

How excited are you about that event?

I mean, there is a cover charge just to get in and you gladly pay it -- whatever the cost. You set your schedule well in advance to ensure nothing, and I mean nothing, interferes with this date. You then go out and buy nice clothes, get your hair professionally prepared, and buy nice accessories to show that you belong at this event. It’s a big deal. A very big deal.

Now, you will likely go largely unnoticed throughout this entire event but that doesn’t matter, does it? You’ll rub elbows with “important” people along the way and you will feel absolutely great about yourself. You, little ol’ you, were in a place most people only dream of.

(You see where we’re going here, right?)

Let’s turn back to the situation at hand.

Every single day, Abba invites you -- YOU -- to be the only guest at an incredibly exclusive event -- sharing a meal with Him.

This is such a big deal. He says it is a fragrant aroma for Him. His nostrils are filled with such a pleasing aroma as you sit there with Him.

Think about this.

The King of the Universe sitting with you.

How much would you pay if you were invited to such an event?

How would you rearrange your schedule to make this event?

Sadly, for most of us, this opportunity goes largely unnoticed. We’re doing good to just remember Him each day, let alone sit and visit with Him.

The formula is simple. You bring the food and He’ll bring the fellowship. He will meet you there.

Take a moment right now and consider this.

Imagine you received an invitation to dinner with Yeshua the Messiah. How would you respond? How much would you pay? How would you prepare yourself for that event? What would you remove from your schedule?

We’d like to say we’d do absolutely anything. But would we? Do we?

Here’s the thing, the invitation has been given. It’s up to us to accept it.

Everyday, twice a day.

Every week, on the last day of the week.

Every month, at the beginning of the month.

Every spring for 7 days then one more day ~50 days later.

Every fall, 2 days then 8 more days.

And the biggest event ever: the Marriage Supper of the Lamb!

Can you fathom this at all?

Realize what is happening right here today. Pay whatever the cost, prepare yourself in the most complete way possible, and clear your schedule so nothing interferes with this event. Sell everything you have if necessary. No matter what, make it to this event.

You’d do it for a politician or celebrity so why not do it for the One that gave His life for you to live forever.

Someday this will really matter.
