Parashah Balak tells the story of Balak, king of Moab, who seeks to curse Israel through the prophet Balaam. Despite his intentions, Balaam can only speak what God allows, turning curses into blessings.
The narrative reveals God’s protection over His people, even through unlikely vessels. Yet the parashah ends with Israel falling into sin through idolatry and immorality, showing that external threats are often less dangerous than internal compromise.
